Welcome all AIESEC members!! Do you want to continue to get in touch with people from all over the world? Do you want to keep using an international network after your AIESEC time? Then you have come to the right place!
| First the "official" statement: What is the Hospitality Club?
Our aim is to bring people together - hosts and guests, travelers and locals. Hospitality Club members around the world help each other when they are traveling - be it with a roof for the night or a guided tour through town. Joining is free, takes just a minute and everyone is welcome. Members can look at each other's profiles, send messages and post comments about their experience on the website.
The club is supported by volunteers who believe in one idea: by bringing travelers in touch with people in the place they visit, and by giving "locals" a chance to meet people from other cultures we can increase intercultural understanding and make peace on this planet a little bit more likely.
And now background information for AIESEC members: I am Mareike gr. Darrelmann and I was an AIESEC member in Dresden for two years. During my time in AIESEC I met Veit, one of the founders of the Hospitality Club in a bar in Dresden. That was the first time I heard about HC. We started talking and I noticed immediately that the idea of HC - bringing people together - is the same idea we have in AIESEC. We also believe that gaining intercultural understanding and making friends from around the world can strengthen the peace on our planet.
The idea of AIESEC was already born in 1947 and now, HC wants to make its contribution to a peaceful world in building an international network for travelers to bring millions of people together. Owing to HC I can keep on having an international way of life after my AIESEC-time. I can travel around the world or host people at my place.
The Hospitality Club is open to everyone - not just AIESECers. Already now, you can search for AIESECers in the club and contact them only. But of course I hope you will help HC to spread our AIESEC spirit through the world!
I personally was so fascinated of HC that I decided to support this concept by publishing all information about Hospitality Club in AIESEC Germany.
There are now already at least 30 AIESECers who are members of the Hospitality Club, and I invite you to come on board as well -
signing up takes just a couple of minutes. Also please tell all your AIESEC friends about the Hospitality Club and please put a link to
http://aiesec.hospitality.org on your AIESEC page, homepage, newsletter etc.
Looking forward to seeing you onboard!
